Green fingers..

Hello everybody!

Apologies for being so rubbish recently but Isla has been teething and I have been attempting at creating my youtube channel *squeal* so things have been crazy mad in our household!

I just thought I would do a quick blog while Isla is taking a nap for a change! Recently she has been so awake and a very emotional bubba too *sad face*

As we are in a rented property adding touches to our house isnt as straight forward for most people so my fiancé AJ decided to take it upon himself to
re-landscape our garden after getting permission from our landlord he was very happy for us to tackle it!

So here is a before!!Inbetween And here is after!!

Oooooo .... Ahhhhhhh!

AJ has worked so so hard on this and Isla and I are incredibly proud of him. Our landlord also asked us to store the patio slabs somewhere which was quite a brain fuzzler as we had no room until AJ's very tired arty farty brain struck again and came up with this master piece!

Everyone i have showed had no idea there was even patio slabs behind the bamboo screen as it looks so convincing as just a little plant shelf. I think we may even use it as a little potting table next summer so we can start to grow some more vegetables and pretty flowers. This area is now perfect for us to sit out and enjoy our evenings with a nice drink enjoying the sunset with our little chimnea as well.

It sounds so sad to be so excited and happy just because we have added grass to our home but this is literally our dream garden. A nice little seating area for our new table and director style chairs, somewhere for our family to run around like loons and sit out in the sun on the picnic blanket for afternoon tea and cake or even enjoy the odd bbq when the sun decides to come out!

We cannot thank AJ enough for making our little home even more perfect and ready for Isla to run riot as she grows up and make her childhood memories here! Now it is time to tackle the job of painting the house inside soon which means endless trips to get tester pots and my favourite job getting new accessories for each room! Yaaaay!

Hope everyone enjoys their bank holiday weekend :) let me know if you have any projects in mind for your house or if you have completed any! I would love to see your before and after photos!

Ciao for now

Make the most of what you have.

Hello fellow bloggers again!

Apologies for the delay in my blog this week but i have been attempting to get over the excitement of turning 22, getting engaged and staying in the beautiful 5* celtic manor! It has been an extremely emotional and magical week for my mummy brain.

I just thought i would have a little chat with you guys as ive seen a couple videos on youtube this week that have really pulled at my heart strings and rethink how i am.

First off marie bits and clips! Me oh my that lady is a true mummy hero after everything she has been through. It is beyond me how she is still uploading beautiful vlogs every week! Her disney ones recently have honestly set my mummy emotions off in places i never knew they could go. Watching her and the bits and clips family walk through disney really just melted me into a ball of tears! Scarlett is just so incredibly greatful to be there and that is a true credit to marie for being such an amazing parent and strong women which probably doesn't get said enough. (Lots of mummy love to you and your wonderful little family)

Second of all gabby's (velvet ghost) honesty video. The amount of hate that girl makes me so angry. It just makes you realise how engrossed we are with the internet these days! What happened to playing board games and running outside playing sticks by the river chucking one in one side of the bridge and running across to see who's stick had won over and over and over again. It makes me realise how much i take forgranted.

This week having my fiancee home and just spending time together with Isla seeing how fast she has grown up just scared me. These past 3 months have flown by and everyone says make the most of it because it will go fast well it really has. I take forgranted the fact i get to spend every single day with our beautiful daughter where as my partner has to go to work everyday and feel like he is missing out on islas milestones which she is making so fast right now! That isnt the way things should be i just wish he could be at home with us every single day to but i know we have to make money to live some how!

Rather than just being with my little girl i am so obsessed over documenting my time with her in photos or videos over excessively. I need to focus more on the precious little moments to document and the other 70% of the time just be with her and make her laugh else sooner or later she will be off to college or moving away to go to university and by then it will be me sat at home wondering why i fussed over the internet googling how to be a good parent, reading umpteen amounts of blogs taking parenting tips or trying to seek approval or get reassurance of whether im doing okay as a parent and still when isla is just having a grumpy day blaming it on myself and me thinking im a bad mum just because she wont stop crying that isnt what my life should be like babies do just have grouchy days and need a good cry like everybody does at some point. I know everyone has insecurities but mine is very much my parenting skills as i am constantly putting myself down about it. I know some people will look at me and think im too young to be a mum at 22 but so what that was our choice to start a family at this time and i can do as good of a job as a 40 year old mum or that 60 year old mum over in germany or where ever it was! Being a good mum shouldn't be judged by age or how wealthy you are. It is how much you make of what you have and making the most of the time and the facilities you all have while you can all still be together as a family.

For now i am making sure that i have dark time! That means no phone, no internet just me and my family watching crappy tv and chatting like normal people! and as isla gets older its time for us all to play games like we used to do before technology took over our lives. I know more than likely i will still post photos or videos of isla on occasion because what parent doesn't! As long as isla is happy and smiley every day i know i am doing what i can for my little girl and i am doing an okay job. As scary as it is to say but my parenting will one day affect how Isla brings up her children and her children's children. I am vowing to give 100% of my time to my little girl to make sure i do the very best i can for her. So for now i am switching off to just be postive and enjoy the crazyness of parenthood.

Sorry it was such a long blog but i just needed to ramble! Feel free to comment and share around. Will you have dark time to spend some quality time with your beautiful families? Let me know your thoughts :)

Ciao for now

Fisher Price Baby bouncer

Hello fellow bloggers,

As I am now starting to get the hang of blogging again I have decided to do a review on the Fisher Price Woodsy friend bouncer rrp £44.99.

We purchased our first one in the sale from mothercare a few weeks ago and initially we loved it! All the pretty colours, beautiful woodland creature animals and most importantly the angle of the seat was perfect for Isla as it wasn't so upright as the one we had before so she could enjoy it at only a few weeks old.

Isla really enjoys the detachable toy tree trunk too. She absolutely loves the music it plays so much that every time it used to stop she would cry until it was played again! Which as you can imagine used to be a very long and repetitive half an hour before she eventually got tired and fell asleep.

The chair has an added bonus of being a vibrating chair which is very soothing for Isla and she loves having it on to chill out in. However, as we began using it more each day it started making an awful loud noise which ended up keeping isla awake and more stimulated than doing the right job of soothing her. We unfortunately had to take it back as we thought there was a fault but after exchanging it for a completely new chair and having the new one for a couple of weeks it is now starting to make the exact same noise. It's very annoying having such an adored product but not being able to use it to the best of its abilities! Although we only use the vibrating when we really need to so the noise isn't much of an issue anymore as we just use the chair without it.

Isla and I still completely adore this chair (as you can tell by the picture below!) even with the loud vibrating noise when we use it! This chair is the perfect angle and very well padded for her and i would even say a newborn. I would highly reccomend this chair to any new parent or someone who is looking to buy a lovely gift for a new little one.

Are there any toys or bits that your little one adores? Comment below as i would love to hear your thoughts.

Life update!

Hello fellow bloggers!

Sorry I have been incredibly rubbish at blogging since January! (Shame on me)

It has been mad crazy in the Nash household adjusting to mummy life! Yes the little monkey finally appeared after being over due by 12 days! Our beautoful Isla is now 10 weeks old and has grown up so fast already. She is now in between 0-3/3-6month clothes although its probably because she has been sleeping through the night since 5 weeks old!! She is extremely smiley, cheeky and certainly has us all wrapped around her little finger already.

Wedding plans are full steam ahead now Isla has arrived which involves wedding dress shopping every week dragging my poor mum along with me! I just cannot wait until June 2016 arrives which I am very sure will fly by.

I am hoping to blog at least once a week but you will have to bare with me while I get back into the swing of things!

What's new with you guys? Anyones blogs or youtube channels catching your eye recently? I would love to hear from you all! Find me on:

Benefit review!

Aloha fellow bloggers!

After a mad week of being tweeted by Lord Alan Sugar himself for my previous blog and gaining a lot more blog readers I have decided to do another review this week!

About 3 weeks ago I decided to spend some well earned money and splash out on my first ever benefit purchase! I decided to get the porefessional primer which I haven't actually got round to using properly yet but it came in a little gift set with a cute mini sized sample of Benefits triple performing moisturiser.

I have never been one to use more what you classify as higher end products so I was very excited to start using this. I won't lie it was a rocky start as it's in such a small glass bottle I have had to master the art of actually getting enough out to use which at first was rather frustrating but after 2 weeks I have finally got to grips with using it a bit better!

I have been applying it to a freshly cleansed and toned face every morning and night. What I will say is great about this product is you only have to use a tiny amount but it goes such a long way!

I didn't notice much difference in the first couple days but when do you with any new moisturiser! I kept persisting with it because it smelt amazing and I have always heard good things about Benefit products! I decided to see just how good it was by not wearing make up at all while I'm trying the product out I really wanted to put this product to the test (Trust me I'm not one that feels great about being bare faced either!) Just after a week of using this product I honestly can't explain what it has been doing to my skin! It makes it so soft and honestly I haven't ever seen my skin so glowing and fresh! I really don't even feel the need to put any bb cream or foundation on at all this product is that good!

Sadly I don't have much product left so I reckon maybe another week or so and I will be very sad to see this beautiful little bottle of magic empty!

I will be 110% be re-purchasing this again in the most biggest size possible because I am so in love with it! I have quite dry skin aswell and as anyone out there reading this will understand what it's like having dry skin it is so hard to find something that really rehydrates it but for the first time ever since using this product I haven't suffered with peely or patchy skin which is just a massive confidence boost for me plus I'm starting to feel a lot better about being bare faced too which my partner is very happy about as he has always liked me being what he calls 'a natural beauty'!

Girls I really cannot stress how beautiful this product makes you feel and if you need a little pick me up or just want a bit of extra pampering and don't mind spending a little bit more on a moisturiser head to your closest shop that stocks benefit and buy it now! I especially recommend buying it in the gift pack that I got which you can see below to give yourself that extra pick me up your skin needs before applying your foundation as well!

Until next week,
Mel xox

Tropic review

Hello again fellow bloggers!

I'm going to be reviewing a brand named Tropic which is run by a lady named Susan Ma who was a contestant on the apprentice. She then started up the tropic business with Lord Sugar back in 2010 which now has such a wide variety of natural beauty and cosmetic products all of which are organic and don't include any nasty chemicals.

I had never heard of this brand until my hairdresser recommended it to me as I was looking to spend a little bit more time
and money on some nice skin care bits.

After hosting a Tropic pamper party back in 2013 I instantly fell in love with the products! They smelt so fresh and felt incredible on my skin. After trying out a few products from having a facial I had to buy them all!

My first purchases were:

The Tropic Smoothing Cleanser and Bamboo face cloth - £15

This takes of my make up so well with only a couple pumps which I just massage onto my face and rinse off using the bamboo cloth with some warm water. It leaves my skin smelling and feeling incredible too!

The Tropic Vitamin Toner - £12

I just spritz this a few times over my face and gently dab off with a dry face towel.
After doing this my face feels so smooth and clean I honestly can't describe the feeling.

After loving these two products I went on too buy the Face Smooth Brightening Polish - £15 which I thought was a bit on the pricey side but after purchasing my first pot of this yummy face scrub I couldn't not love this as well! One pot lasted me over 4months as you only need a tiny bit to work into your face and after it just feels so smooth and like you've had new skin put on! I'm on my second pot of this stuff and I have been using it every day because I just can't get enough of it.

My last purchase was a toughy because I was really struggling with break outs and incredibly dry skin so I treated myself to the Radiance Clay Mask - £20. They do two face masks but I haven't tried the mineral mask yet! Now this face mask is honestly the best £20 I have spent. It's like a mud mask but you don't need to use too much to get a nice even coverage over your face. It feels amazing once you've put it on and then you just rinse off after about 15-20 minutes later and my skin just looks so glowing and fresh. It truly is my face mask must have!

I know I have probably rambled on for a long time but I wanted to spend a while reviewing these products just because of how incredible they are! I cannot stress enough how natural and how amazing they make my skin feel! I urge everyone reading this to make an order now or at least host a party which are free and so much fun to get all the girls round for a few nibbles and drinks too! I'm just about to book another party soon myself! You can see all the products on the link below.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any skincare reccomendations for me I would love to hear them so just leave a little comment below!

2015

Happy new year everyone!

I honestly can't believe it's 2015 already!

This year is time for me to get back to blogging more after having a break and focus on baking more yummy treats to spoil me and my baby bump! I am also going be doing some reviews on some nice treats I have come across over the winter months including make-up, food and just random little bits really!

Is there anything you would like to see me review at all or any reccomendations for new baking things you may have discovered too?

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and the back to work blues aren't too bad!

Ciao for now,
